My Graduation...Finally!

For appetizer we had foie gras with apple, walnuts and calvados sauce.....delicious!

I had roasted duck breast in pomegranate sauce, potato gratin & veggies....amazing!

My boyfriend had a platter of lamb chop, hanger steak, merguez, thick cut bacon, steak, french fries (the best EVER), & roasted tomatoes...he loved everything!

No matter how full I am, I NEVER pass on dessert! We shared a cream puff filled with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce..mmm!

After lunch, we bought some sparkling wine and spent the day in the L.E.S in our friends backyard.

Groovy

I'm obsessed with 70's fashion! I can't get over high-waisted, wide leg trousers and jeans. I love this pic of Hanneli, taken by Mr.Newton, which has a beautiful color combo and amazing trousers! I just took two pairs of high-waisted, w/l jeans to get hemmed (I'm short so I have to get all my pants shortened) anyway cant wait to wear them with some tees or 70's vintage tops, especially a coral cotton gauze, angel sleeve one I bought a while back at Zachery's Smile.

I'm also on the hunt for a pair of clogs, in particular a pair of Via Spiga ones I spotted in Marie Claire (the ones above the purple suede clogs) but I guess they haven't hit the stores yet because I can't find them ANYWHERE : ( but I'll keep looking!

Tough Ballerina

I've been all caught up with my last semester of school, that I haven't had time to post. My graduation is next month, and I couldn't be happier! I've been obsessing over what dress I'm going to wear, shoes, party planning etc. But I hope to post more often and take some neat pics with my new Nikon D5000 to share with you all ; )

El Perro Del Mar

I found out about El Perro Del Mar a few days ago and I'm totally diggin this song, "Change of Heart", featuring Lykke Li (love her). The video is amazing, images flow so well with the song. A bit eerie at first but then you realize how beautiful it is. Two muscular Hungarian men, making such delicate, erotic like movements, while covered in gold, sweet!
As far as her other songs, I don't know, a lil too depressing. Maybe they will grow on me or maybe I'll wait for her next album. She's quite interesting though and down to earth. Saw an interview with her, where she mentions the album was written during a really bad break up-that explains a lot.
Anyway, I'm in a really good mood today, got a new hair cut : ) Life is good! Have a wonderful weekend kiddies!

Zara Spring 2010

I ♥ Zara! It's one of the stores I frequently shop at. Every time I go there I always leave with something.
So, when it came time to pick a private label for my product development project last spring, I had no doubt of who I wanted to do it on. It was my first time using Illustrator and I worked very hard at it. In the end my efforts payed off, I love what I created and best of all, it was displayed at F.I.T :)

Witchcraft By Wildfox Couture

This past weekend my boyfriend and I finally went to see Avatar IMAX 3D, and it was awesome! Had to get that out of the way before Alice in Wonderland, can't wait! We also saw an Off-Off-Broadway production of Hamlet. An unconventional, modern take on the play, it was way cool, loved it! Go to Organs of State if you're interested in seeing it.
So, this post comes about because one of the actresses in the play wore some "tattoo stockings" and I couldn't stop thinking whether her legs were tattooed or if she had something on (she was wearing a long jersey dress, so I couldn't really tell). Anyway, I become so curious, I searched and I found them! The stockings (third picture down) are part of Wildfox Couture's fall 2010 collection, "It's Witchcraft". The story along with the photo shoot make the collection uber cool, check out their blog Ilovewildfox for all the pics. Cute stuff right? I definitely want to get my hands on a t-shirt or two.
